The richness and depth of color in pastels appeals to me. The ability to more easily repair a mistake is also a nice feature when I step away from watercolor for a time. This is one of the paintings I completed when I had broken my right arm (yes, right handed). I determined that I would continue to paint and the hope was to open new brain synapses in the process. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed using my non-dominant hand. If you click on the image below it will bring you to an album of other work in pastel.
